Camps
Many LEGO Education Centers offer holiday camps. Programs are based on popular themes such as robots, outer space, travel, machines, monsters and treasure islands. Children work in pairs or small groups to solve a variety of challenges presented in each camp theme. Programs are typically offered to children in three age groups: 4-5 year-olds, 6-7 year olds, and 8-12 year olds. The recommended number of children per camp session is 12.
4-5-years-olds
This youngest age group works with LEGO® DUPLO® bricks; a larger building system designed to help them develop fine and gross motor skills and to express their thoughts and ideas.
6-7-years-olds
This age group works with the standard LEGO System brick to build solutions that answer to a variety of creative and problem-solving challenges.
8-12-years-olds
Children in this age group typically work with the LEGO MINDSTORMS Education resources to design, build and program robots. MINDSTORMS includes the programmable NXT brick, software, motors, sensors, bricks and LEGO Technic gears, axles and beams.
