What’s happening here?

Sometimes, you only have a few clues to help you figure out a situation.

What are some things you have to do before inventing a solution to a problem?

Meet Kiki.

student-02

Kiki has an exciting life but she finds herself in all kinds of weird situations!

What’s Kiki’s problem?

  1. Read the story in comment box
  2. Play this program, then start story #1.
  3. Position Kiki in front of each of the coloured bricks.

You’ll hear 3 sounds that will create a ‘story’. Listen carefully and use your imagination to help you decide what’s wrong with Kiki.

For example, in story #1, Kiki could be on a lead and might get hurt because her owner isn’t paying attention.

Here’s another story.

student-04
  1. Play story #2.
  2. Think about the story that’s been created by these new sounds and make a list of all the possible problems that Kiki could be having based on these sounds. Pair up with another team and compare your lists.

What’s your story?

student-05

Change the sounds again. This time you’ll choose your own sounds, so be creative!

Make a list of possible problems Kiki could having in this new story and have another team do the same.

Compare your lists. Did you make the same predictions?

How did you do?
