Bobsleigh

• Which force makes the bobsleigh move?

Experiment 1:

• Put the Minifigures on your bobsleigh and test how far it will go.
• Use a measuring tape to measure the distance that your bobsleigh travelled.
• Record the distance on your worksheet or a similar chart in your notebook.
• Do 3 test runs.
• Record the distance that your bobsleigh travelled each time and then circle the middle distance.

Experiment 2:

• Now, test your bobsleigh with the black block that you have built. Mark your prediction of how far it will travel.
• Do 3 test runs.
• Record the distance that your bobsleigh travelled each time and then circle the middle distance.

Experiment 3:

• Now, compare the heavy black brick to the black block that you have just tested.
• Again, use a brick to mark your prediction.
• Test 3 times to see if you were right.
• Do not forget to record the distance each time and circle the middle distance.

• Which forces did you observe?
• Did you see any patterns?
