What’s happening here?
Sometimes, you only have a few clues to help you figure out a situation.
What are some things you must to do before inventing a solution to a problem?
Kiki has an exciting life but she finds herself in all sorts of weird situations!
What’s wrong with Kiki?
- Read the story in comment box
- Play this program, then start story #1.
- Position Kiki in front of each of the coloured bricks.
You’ll hear 3 sounds that will create a ‘story’. Listen carefully and use your imagination to help you decide what’s wrong with Kiki.
For example, in story #1, Kiki could be on a lead and might get hurt because her owner isn’t paying attention.
Here’s another story.
- Play story #2.
- Think about the story that’s been created by these new sounds and make a list of all the possible problems that Kiki could be having based on these sounds. Pair up with another team and compare your lists.
What’s your story?
Change the sounds again. This time you’ll choose your own sounds, so be creative!
Make a list of the possible problems Kiki could be having in this new story and get another team to do the same.
Compare your lists. Did you make the same predictions?
How did you do?
Think about what you’ve done well and what you could have done better.
Congratulations! You’ve taken the first step to becoming an elite member of the Invention Squad.
