**CONNECT - Objective**

Use the EV3 Brick to store collected data and then transfer it to a computer for analysis.

**CONSTRUCT - Build It**

Add the Colour Sensor to the EV3 Brick. Turn on and connect the EV3 Brick via USB. Stop the Oscilloscope mode and name the experiment. Change the sample rate to 20 per second and set the Colour Sensor mode to Ambient Light Intensity.

**CONTEMPLATE - Test**

Download the experiment to the EV3 Brick. Disconnect the USB and position the EV3 Brick near a light source. Run the experiment, reconnect via USB and upload the data.

**CONTINUE - Modify It**

A graph should now be displayed in the Graph Area. Use the Analysis tools to investigate the data set.

**CONSTRUCT - Build It**

Construct the drop tower. Start the program. Place ball in the closed grasping gripper. Start a test using the Touch Sensor on the drop tower.

**CONTEMPLATE - Test**

You know the drop distance D and the fall time T. Calculate the average Velocity V. Enter the results in a table. Solve the equation of the law of falling bodies. Calculate the acceleration of gravity based on your measurements. Enter the calculated values in a table. So what did we find out? And what did we learn?

**CONTINUE - Modify It**

On to new discoveries. Encourage the students to perform additional calculations using the measured values.

**CONNECT - Objective**

What happens to an object located inside an accelerating vehicle?

**CONSTRUCT - Build It**

Build the accelerating vehicle. Start the program. Measured values are recorded automatically for subsequent evaluation.

**CONTEMPLATE - Test**

Create a graph using the calculated data: Velocity, slope of the distance: Time. This graph is based on the Distance dataset created previously. Name the new dataset Velocity. Create a graph using the calculated data: Acceleration, slope of the velocity: Name the new dataset Acceleration. Produce a mathematical relationship between the variables distance, velocity, and acceleration.

On to new discoveries. Encourage the students to perform additional calculations using the measured values.
