Placing an Order

UK Residents

If you are a UK resident, please follow the instructions listed below.

Business Hours

  • Our Customer Service Team is in the office Monday to Friday from 8am–5pm, excluding National Holidays.
  • Web orders via this website may be placed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Orders placed during the period 24 December until the first working day of January, will be shipped from the second week of January. There will be clear messaging on the webshop when this applies.

Billing and Payment Methods

When your order is shipped, your credit/debit card will be charged for the total amount of all shipped items plus shipping and handling charges and applicable VAT. Items not in stock at the time of the initial shipment will not be billed until they are shipped. Subsequent shipments will be invoiced separately. Please be aware however, that your credit/debit card will be pre-authorised at the time of ordering. For more information please see our terms and conditions.

Currency

All prices, taxes, and shipping and handling charges are in GBP.

Purchase Orders

LEGO® Education gladly accepts purchase orders from businesses, subject to certain criteria and approval. (Please note for the sake of clarity that schools, preschools, and other educational institutions or organisations are considered “businesses”). This facility is not available to private customers. We reserve the right to request payment in advance of goods being shipped. To learn more about paying with purchase order, please refer to our terms and conditions or call to discuss.



Where is My Order?

In stock items will normally arrive within 7-10 working days (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays). Delivery times will be confirmed upon order.

If your order has been delayed, it may be due to one or more of the following: 

  • One or more of the items on your order is out of stock. We usually ship in-stock items right away and then ship the out-of-stock items at a later date.
  • We may have attempted to deliver – if there is nobody available to accept your delivery, a calling card should be left by the delivery company. After a second unsuccessful delivery attempt, you will be asked to contact the delivery company directly to re-arrange the delivery.

Problems after delivery – Carefully inspect the contents of your order upon delivery. Small items may have settled and may be hidden at the bottom of the box. If you find a problem, please contact us immediately. We want to remedy the situation as soon as possible.

  • Damaged items – Contact us
  • Missing items from your delivery – The item may have been out of stock, or it may be software that is delivered digitally. If you believe that there is a shortage with your delivery, please contact us.
  • Missing elements from a specific product/set – Whilst it’s extremely unlikely that any of our resources could be received with any pieces missing, if this does happen, please let us know via LEGO.com immediately so that we can rectify the shortage for you.

Out-of-Stock Items (back orders)

Items not in stock will normally ship separately at a later date unless otherwise specified.

If you would like the entire order held until all items are available, please specify this in the comments field of the payment page during checkout.


How to Order

Find the item – If you know what you are looking for, use the search box to find the product quickly. Simply type the product name (or partial name) or item number into the search box and click Search. You may also browse our site to find products meeting your needs.

  • To find products suitable for a particular Key Stage, hover over the SHOP tab and select a Key Stage from the KEY STAGE section. Products for that category will display. At that point you can further refine your search by selecting a product line, product type, or topic from the left navigational panel.
  • To find products within a product line, hover over the SHOP tab and select a product line from the PRODUCT LINE section. Products for that category will display. At that point you can further refine your search by selecting a Key Stage level, product type, or topic from the left navigational panel.
  • To find products within a topic, hover over the SHOP tab and select a topic from the TOPICS section. Products for that category will display. At that point you can further refine your search by selecting a Key Stage level, product line, product type, or topic from the left navigational panel.
  • To find a certain type of product (e.g. software, sets, books), hover over the SHOP tab and select a type from the TYPES section. Products for that category will display. At that point you can further refine your search by selecting a Key Stage level, product line, product, or topic from the left navigational panel.

Learn more about the item – When you locate a product you wish to view, you can:

  • Click the product image or name to go to the product page and see additional information about the item.
  • Hover over the image until the Quick View button appears. Click the Quick View button to see a popup with basic details about the product. Click the product name to go to the product page and see additional information about the item.

Put items in your basket – You may add an item to your basket by clicking the Add to Shopping Basket button on any product page or Quick View popup. 

View the items in your basket – To see the contents of your basket, click the Shopping Basket button at the top of the page.  When the shopping basket screen displays, you may remove or update quantities of the items in your cart. 

Checkout – When you have finished shopping, click the Shopping Basket button at the top of the page. The resulting screen will show all the items in your basket and the quantity of each. You may update quantities or delete items at this time. When the items are as you wish, enter a promo code (if applicable), select your state, and select a shipping option. Your shipping and handling charges will display. Then, click the CHECKOUT button to proceed. You will be prompted to sign in. 

Sign in or create an account – If you already have a LEGO ID account, sign in with your email address and password. Otherwise, you may create a new account or continue as a guest. You'll be prompted to enter basic information such as your name, email address, password, and shipping and billing addresses.

If you are ordering for private use, select Private under customer type and you will have the option to pay using a credit card. If you are ordering for a school, business, or other organisation, select Organisation under customer type and you will have the option to pay with a credit card or purchase order.

Select a payment method – Credit card and purchase order (for businesses only as previously defined) are the available options. Depending on your selection, you'll be prompted to enter additional information. 

Finalise your order – After the correct payment information has been entered, click SUBMIT ORDER. Please wait until you receive your online order number before exiting the store. (We recommend printing this final checkout page. It will serve as a receipt for your order.) Within a minute of successfully submitting an order, you will receive an email order confirmation. We suggest adding LEGO Education to your safe senders list to ensure you receive the message.


Purchase Orders (Business Customers only)

To establish credit terms with LEGO® Education and pay with a purchase order, create an account and place items you wish to purchase in your basket. At checkout, select the "Pay by Purchase Order" option.

Generally, schools qualify for net 30 terms and may pay with a purchase order (payments must be made in 30 days). If we are unable to offer you these terms, we will let you know and offer you the chance to pay in advance of goods being shipped.

The maximum quantity of an item that can purchased in each transaction is 99.
