The LEGO® Education Master Educator Program recognizes and celebrates educators who embody the LEGO® Education mission of enabling success for all students through hands-on learning experiences in early learning through high school. The Master Educator program fosters a sense of community among like-minded educators, serving to share knowledge and ideas for strengthening student’s success.

About the Program

The Master Educator Program, a volunteer ambassador program, is a community of early learning through secondary educators who embody the mission of LEGO® Education to inspire and develop the builders of tomorrow by enabling every student to succeed. Master Educators are given opportunities to share best practices, provide feedback to LEGO® Education to advance hands-on learning, participate in LEGO® Education activities, and more!

Meet Our US Master Educators

Dan Thomas

Technology Teacher
Southwestern Central School District, Jamestown, NY

“Students have been taught to regurgitate information instead of how to work through problems, try new things and, most importantly, fail a few times. As a LEGO Education Master Educator, I’m excited to bring the joy and excitement of playing with LEGO to the classroom. It truly is applicable to any class, grade level or curriculum.”

Rebecca McKeithen

Headstart Teacher
West Navarre Primary School, Navarre, FL

"My teaching philosophy is based on three things: students are children who require age-appropriate material, so give them understanding before judgement, and create a kind classroom culture that is loving and safe so they can thrive."

Javier Aguilar

Technology and Computer Science Teacher
East Fort Worth Montessori Academy
Fort Worth, TX

"I believe the biggest challenge facing students is real engagement. As an educator, this challenge forces me to always look for fun technology opportunities to spark their interests."

Ingrid Cruz

STEM Teacher
Oxon Hill Middle School, Fort Washington, MD

“One of the main reasons I love being a STEM teacher and teaching robotics is how easy it is for me to apply hands-on learning in my classes. This challenge-based strategy requires students to develop a deeper understanding of math and science concepts, while at the same time developing their confidence in handling the technology. As an educator, it’s my goal to provide my students meaningful learning experiences both in and outside the classroom, and it’s rewarding to share that same goal with LEGO Education.”

Kareen Wilkinson

Science Teacher
Lila G Frederick Middle School, Boston, MA

"As a LEGO® Education Master Educator, I want to show teachers that you don't have to know a lot about robotics to get your students into it. Students learn faster than adults if given the chance to exercise playful learning."
