Esben Staerk is President and is responsible for the overall leadership at LEGO® Education, a global company with a 35-year history in developing educational solutions to enable every child to succeed in education. LEGO Education is a division of The LEGO® Group, based in Billund, Denmark.
Prior to his position as head of LEGO Education, Esben held various marketing and management positions within the LEGO Group. He has been with the company for fifteen years.
Esben has a MSc. in International Business. He has studied at the Aarhus School of Business in Denmark as well as at the University of Technology in Sydney and the Singapore Institute of Management. In addition to studies abroad, he has worked in Japan, Sweden and China.
Esben is committed to making a positive difference to children in their development.
Pernille France is the Head of Solutions Marketing and is responsible for the global marketing organization at LEGO Education, a global company with a 35-year history in developing educational solutions to enable every child to succeed in education. LEGO Education is a division of The LEGO Group, based in Billund, Denmark.
Pernille has been with The LEGO Group and LEGO Education for more than six years. In her current position, her responsibilities include taking part in the Global LEGO Education Leadership Team and driving the business strategies, direction, development, and marketing of new, engaging, and curriculum-relevant solutions.
Pernille returned to The LEGO Group in 2010 after spending nine years working for companies such as Cadbury Schweppes, Bolia International, Strandgaard & Co., and KOMPAN. She originally joined The LEGO Group in 1992 and held a variety of leadership positions including Director of Global Marketing and Innovation, where she was responsible for transforming LEGO Basic into the highly successful product line LEGO Creator.
Pernille earned a master’s degree in Strategic Marketing at Aalborg University in Denmark and a business practitioner certificate in Neuro Linguistic Programming at Knight and Strandgaard Consulting, Copenhagen. She is a trained leader with more than 15 years of people-management experience. Pernille has lived and worked in the United States and speaks English, German, and Danish and has a working knowledge of Swedish and Norwegian.
In her leisure time, Pernille enjoys spending time with her family, singing in a gospel choir, reading, and gardening. She lives in Denmark with her husband and two children.
Tom is responsible for LEGO Education’s international business, with teams spread from Latin America to Tokyo and all points in between to deliver STEM learning and empower teachers and students with LEGO Education solutions.
Following a degree from Durham University in Modern Chinese, Tom began his career in publishing and licensing, selling rights for Dorling Kindersley and Rough Guides (The Penguin Group) to the Chinese and wider Asian markets. He moved on to build up a digital licensing and product team to take the imprints into new channels, and from Penguin, moved to take on a central strategic partnerships role for the Pearson Group, leading partnerships within the technology sector for group companies including The Financial Times, Penguin Books and Pearson Education.
More recently in his role at Pearson he was responsible for establishing digital product capabilities across emerging markets and launching new services into the Schools and English businesses, forming and leading product engineering teams across the US, Europe and India.
He is a passionate believer in the social and business impact of education: learning as a means to improve and empower lives and societies, and as a business and growth engine to drive enterprise. Tom spends time outside work in rural chaos as a husband to Sara, father of two young sons, and lover of the great outdoors.
Anne Katrine Jensen is the Head of Finance and is responsible for the global finance organization at LEGO Education, a global company with a 35-year history in developing educational solutions to enable every child to succeed in education. LEGO Education is a division of The LEGO Group, based in Billund, Denmark.
Anne Katrine has been with The LEGO Group and LEGO Education for more than 10 years. In her current position, her responsibilities include taking part in the Global LEGO Education Leadership Team, strategy execution including the business planning process as well as financial management. Prior to this position, Anne Katrine headed up various finance positions within The LEGO Group, including support for the CEO and CFO. Before joining LEGO Education, Anne Katrine worked for Rambøll Management A/S as a Management Consultant.
Anne Katrine has a master’s degree in Economics from Aarhus University in Denmark. She speaks Danish and English.
Silver is responsible for LEGO Education’s North America business to deliver STEM learning and to empower teachers and students with LEGO Education solutions. She has been in the technology industry for more than 20 years with the large majority of those focused on education and sustainability.
Silver began her career as a Managing Producer with Razorfish, working with McKinsey and Company, Sega of America and many other clients as they embraced the digital space. She was an early employee with Schoolnet, an Instructional Improvement System company, and remained with Schoolnet for 10 years, first building its enterprise client consulting team and then leading Sales and Marketing, working with hundreds of districts across the United States. Pearson later acquired Schoolnet, where Silver served as Senior Vice President of K12 Solution Sales, focused on the largest school district and state engagements in the United States. Silver was also Chief Commercial Officer at BrightBytes, an educational research analytics organization focused on improving how the world learns.
She has an MBA from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management, a BA from San Francisco State University in Technical and Professional Writing and a certification from Presidio Graduate School in Sustainable Management.
Silver is passionate about student achievement, sustainability issues and having a global impact. Having led both Client Service and Sales teams, she believes in strong teams, delighted customers, and impactful educational solutions. You can find Silver outside of work enjoying cooking, documentaries, travelling, and volunteering.
