Build a driving base, attach the touch sensor to the model then use the Brick Status Light and the display block.

CONTEMPLATE - Test
Using the Brick Status Light and Display Block, pupils will create programs that will visually communicate what their wheeled robot is doing. Program the brick to show amber light when reversing.

CONTINUE - Modify It
What other input information can be used? Add a noise when the Touch Sensor detects an object.

CONNECT - Objective
Pupils will extend their understanding of the Colour Sensor and how this input information can cause different programming reactions like stop or go with traffic lights.

CONSTRUCT - Build It
Build a model using the Color Sensor for detection of the traffic lights. Introduce pupils to the Switch Block.

CONTEMPLATE - Test
Understand how the Colour Sensor has several functions and can measure a range of parameters. Experience the Loop Block by simulating a traffic-light system that makes the model a ‘stop – go’ according to the traffic light system.
