In Spring 2025, LEGO® Education Science was piloted in three diverse school districts:

  • Compton Unified School District, CA
  • Irving Independent School District, TX
  • Northeastern School District, PA
     
    Within each district, participating sites were all Title 1 schools serving large populations of multilingual learners, students receiving special education services, and those eligible for free or reduced-price lunch.
     
    The case study included 9 dedicated teachers, both science specialists and generalists, with varying years of experience and 201 students across grades K-8.
     
    This research aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of our new hands-on science kits in providing impactful, inquiry-based science learning for students and ease of implementation for teachers.
