Academic Enrichment Grants

Eligibility

  • Educators or staff working with Pre-K–12 students at schools or nonprofit organizations
  • Applicants must work directly with students and lead the proposed project
  • Priority is given to projects serving students from low-income households

Goals

  • Support innovative classroom or extracurricular projects that enhance student learning
  • Expand students’ awareness of the world and deepen academic understanding
  • Encourage intellectual, creative, or interdisciplinary enrichment experiences

Application Due Date

  • April 15 (applications close earlier if 200 submissions are received)

Grant Cycle

  • Annual application cycle
  • Projects may receive funding for up to two years

Grant Award Total Amount

  • Up to $10,000 per year
  • Up to $20,000 total over two years

Allowable Purchases

  • Classroom or project materials
  • Technology or equipment needed for the project
  • Supplies, transportation, and limited stipends related to the project
     
  • Aligned to LEGO Education Solutions (how LEGO Education Computer Science & AI and LEGO Education Science and PD align specifically to this grant)

Program Implementation Requirements

  • The grant is awarded to an individual educator rather than directly to a school or district
  • The educator is responsible for designing and implementing the proposed project

Keep in Mind

  • The application window closes early once 200 submissions are received
  • Funding is intended for enrichment projects that supplement existing curriculum
  • Projects should demonstrate clear benefit to students and meaningful learning outcomes
