Perkins V Plus Reserve Grant

Eligibility
- Georgia Local Education Agencies (LEAs) currently receiving Perkins V funding are eligible to apply.
Goals
The grant aims to supplement CTAE resources in:
- Rural areas
- Areas with high percentages or numbers of CTE students
- Areas with disparities or gaps in performance
It focuses on enhancing performance, promoting nontraditional pathways, supporting special populations, implementing end-of-pathway assessments, and recruiting/retaining CTE staff.
Application Due Date
- March 28, 2025, by 5 p.m.
Grant Cycle
- July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026
Grant Award Total Amount
- A total of $2,100,000 is available, with a maximum of $25,000 per award.
Allowable Purchases
- Yes, LEGO® Education products are allowable if they support GaDOE-approved CTAE Pathways and align with the grant’s objectives.
Program Implementation Requirements
- Grantees must:
- Operate programs per state and federal laws, regulations, and State Board of Education rules.
- Use funds as outlined in the approved grant budget.
- Submit required reports, including a Completion Report and Detailed Expenditure Report.
Keep in Mind
- Alignment: Ensure that LEGO® Education products directly support and enhance approved CTAE pathways.
- Budget Details: Provide specific descriptions, quantities, and purposes for all purchases in the budget.
- Non-Allowable Expenses: Avoid budgeting for unallowable expenses such as salaries (except honorariums and substitute pay), tuition, promotional items, and infrastructure equipment.
- Timely Submission: Adhere to all deadlines and submission requirements to ensure application consideration.
