STEM Integration Grant

Eligibility
Indiana public school corporations, charter schools, or other eligible entities
Must:
- Agree to all grant assurances
- Complete all grant components
- Be registered with Indiana state contracting agencies
- Provide a sustainability plan beyond the grant period
- Participate in required data collection efforts
Goals
- Expand access to high-quality, integrated STEM instruction across K–12
- Increase student engagement and achievement in STEM disciplines
- Promote implementation of the 2023 Indiana Academic Standards for Integrated STEM
- Provide evidence-based, sustainable professional development in Science, Math, and Computer Science
- Support the development of STEM leadership and equitable access to STEM learning

Grant Cycle
July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026
Grant Award Total Amount
- Up to $12,500 (for <1,000 students)
- Up to $25,000 (1,000–1,999 students)
- Up to $37,500 (2,000–9,999 students)
- Up to $50,000 (10,000+ students)
Allowable Purchases
- Professional development aligned to Indiana standards in Science, Math, or Computer Science
- Teacher stipends for activities outside contracted hours
- Curricular materials (excluding textbooks) and hands-on learning kits
- Web-based services, STEM-aligned software and technology (non-AI-powered)
- Contracted services aligned with integrated STEM practices
Alignment with LEGO® Education Solutions:
- LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Essential and SPIKE™ Prime: Support hands-on, problem-based STEM learning aligned with engineering design and computational thinking standards in science and computer science
- LEGO® Education Science: Align with phenomenon-based, 3D science instruction under the 2023 Indiana Academic Standards
- Professional Development (PD): Funding can support training on implementing LEGO Education in alignment with math, science, and computer science goals
Program Implementation Requirements
- Applicants must identify one STEM strand focus: Science, Computer Science, or Mathematics
- Activities must align to the 2023 Indiana Academic Standards for Integrated STEM domains
- Grant plans should include:
- Specific training and/or material purchases
- Targeted grade levels and staff
- Measurable outcomes using local data - A detailed timeline of activities within the grant period is required
- Applicants must submit both a budget narrative and itemized budget summary
Keep in Mind
- This is a reimbursement grant—expenses must be incurred and approved before reimbursement
- Curriculum and PD must align with Indiana’s standards and support student access, educator growth, and STEM equity
- AI-powered tools are not allowable
- Curriculum alignment to the 2023 Indiana Academic Standards and inclusion of transdisciplinary approaches will strengthen applications
