  • Training materials required for PD.

LEGO Education professional learning experiences for SPIKE Essential and SPIKE Prime help teachers at all grade levels integrate robotics, coding, and engineering into their classrooms - from early computer science foundations with SPIKE Essential to intermediate and advanced programming — including Python with SPIKE Prime — supporting a clear K–12 CS pathway.

Program Implementation Requirements

  • Recipients must follow fiscal and reporting requirements
  • Claims are reimbursed; districts spend funds first and then request payment
  • Non-compliance can lead to payment delays or loss of funds

Keep in Mind

  • Applications are competitive and scored using an official rubric
  • PD funds must supplement, not supplant, current professional development budgets
  • Because funding is reimbursement-based, districts should plan cash flow to cover upfront PD costs
  • This PD track is separate from the endorsement track and follows its own deadlines
