MiSTEM 3P STEM Education Grant - Michigan

Public and private agencies working with youth in Michigan are eligible to apply
Open to formal and informal PK–12 education settings

Reimagine STEM education using 3P learning: Place-, Project-, and Problem-based
Empower instructors and elevate STEM culture across Michigan
Support career exposure and STEM learning across disciplines, including science, math, computer science, and engineering
Connect action areas to career exploration through authentic, transdisciplinary learning experiences

Includes instructional materials, hands-on STEM tools, and professional development that align with place-, project-, or problem-based learning and foster real-world, career-connected experiences for students.
- LEGO Education SPIKE Essential and SPIKE Prime: Yes – aligns with project-based learning, NGSS science integration, and student-led exploration
- LEGO Education Science: Yes – supports transdisciplinary STEM experiences tied to real-world problem solving
- Professional Development (PD): Yes – funding supports educator training aligning with the 3P pedagogy and implementation support aligned with the projected application

Must center on 3P learning (Place-, Project-, and/or Problem-based)
Should support integration of STEM across subject areas and career-connected learning
Must include participation in virtual 3P pedagogy professional learning and a grant kick-off workshop
Expected to align with at least one of the MiSTEM action areas:
- Math as the language of STEM
- Science and engineering literacy
- High-quality computer science access

Two technical assistance webinars are scheduled:
- December 3, 2025 at 7:00 p.m.
- December 18, 2025 at 4:30 p.m.
