Eligibility
- Nevada public or charter elementary schools
- Nevada public or charter school districts serving elementary grades
- Nevada elementary classroom teachers and administrators
Goals
- Increase access to high-quality STEM learning in elementary schools
- Increase hands-on, experiential STEM learning in grades K-5
- Increase student interest, awareness, and achievement in STEM subjects
Application Due Date
- May 8, 2026
Grant Award Total Amount
- Classroom Awards: up to $2,000 per individual classroom
- Program Awards: up to $25,000 per school
Grant Cycle
- Funding period aligned to State Fiscal Year 2027
- All funds must be expended within the grant period
Allowable Purchases
- STEM equipment, instructional kits, and supplies tied to a specific lesson or unit
- Technology and STEM curriculum used directly by students
- Program-related professional development, training, and materials for approved STEM programs
Aligned to LEGO® Education Solutions
- LEGO® Education Computer Science and AI supports hands-on, standards-aligned coding and computational thinking tied to specific classroom units
- LEGO® Education Science supports inquiry-based science and engineering instruction aligned to elementary standards and measurable student outcomes
- LEGO Education Professional Development supports the implementation of STEM programs with training tied to classroom use and instructional goals
- LEGO Education solutions are listed on the Nevada OSIT STEMList.
Program Implementation Requirements
- Project must be aligned to Nevada Academic Content Standards and tied to a specific STEM lesson, unit, or program
- Applicants must provide budget details, implementation timeline, and report on project outcomes
Keep in Mind
- This is a reimbursement grant requiring proof of payment and detailed expenditure reporting after award
- LEGO Education solutions align with the Nevada Academic Content Standards for Science and Computer Science.
- Strong applications clearly connect purchases to standards, student outcomes, and instructional goals
- Funding cannot be used for salaries, food, general supplies, or materials not tied to a specific STEM lesson or program
- Projects must demonstrate sustainability and ongoing use beyond the initial grant period
- Funding is competitive. Applications are evaluated using a rubic (see last 2 pages of RFP) based on impact, alignment, and implementation quality
