Eligibility

  • Classroom teachers in a K–12 public, private, and charter school in Ohio
  • Projects can be new or expanding projects that directly impact students in a classroom setting
  • Preference may be given to STEM educators or those aligned with Ohio's learning standards

Application Due Date

  • Opens July 29, 2025
  • Due September 2, 2025

Grant Cycle

  • Awards announced in November 2025
  • Funds must be spent by the end of the 2025–2026 school year

Grant Award Total Amount

  • Up to $5,000 per classroom

Allowable Purchases

  • Hands-on classroom materials such as LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Essential and SPIKE™ Prime kits
  • Science and STEM curriculum tools that promote inquiry and design thinking
  • Professional development for educators using LEGO Education solutions to implement STEM-aligned instruction

Program Implementation Requirements

  • Projects must demonstrate use of at least one STEM Learning and Teaching element, such as:
    • Integrating academic disciplines
    • Implementing problem- or project-based learning
    • Using modern technology and computational thinking
    • Personalizing learning for student needs
  • Priority given to projects involving community partnerships and real-world connections
  • Grant recipients may be asked to share project outcomes or success stories with the Ohio STEM Learning Network

  • LEGO Education has state standards-aligned curriculum that supports Ohio classroom teachers.
  • Proposals should align with Ohio’s STEM and STEAM Designation Rubric
  • Strong applications clearly articulate the student impact and alignment to STEM outcomes
  • Include a quote or detailed budget to strengthen the application and show planning
  • Focus on sustainability and potential for replication or scaling in future years
  • Emphasize real-world application and local impact
