WeTeach CS Mini-Grant

Eligibility
- Texas K-12 teachers in public, private, or charter schools
- Past WeTeach_CS Mini-Grant recipients are not eligible in consecutive years
- Projects must support K-12 Computer Science teaching and learning
Goals
- Support instructional resources and materials for K-12 Computer Science
- Expand or improve access to computer science education for all students
- Support innovative approaches to teaching and learning CS with measurable outcomes
Application Due Date
- April 17, 2026
Grant Cycle
- Recipients notified by May 4, 2026
- Projects must be completed by May 31, 2027
Grant Award Total Amount
- Up to $5,000 per awardee

Instructional resources for K-12 Computer Science
Instructional materials used for teaching and learning Computer Science
Technology integrated into Computer Science instruction when clearly justified
Aligned to LEGO Education Solutions:
- LEGO Education Computer Science & AI solutions qualify as instructional resources and materials for K-12 Computer Science instruction
- LEGO Education Science solutions that integrate coding, computational thinking, and data analysis align when implemented as part of CS-focused instruction
- LEGO Education Professional Development supports implementation, measurable student outcomes, and sustainability planning
Program Implementation Requirements
- Recipient must attend the 2026 WeTeach_CS Summit on June 15-16, 2026 in San Antonio, TX
- Recipient must submit a final report by July 1, 2027 summarizing outcomes and number of students impacted
Keep in Mind
- Review criteria require clearly defined objectives, measurable outcomes, and a realistic evaluation plan with quantifiable results
- Budget must be itemized, reasonable, and directly tied to project activities
- Proposals must be executed exactly as submitted; changes to budget, campus, district, or scope may result in withholding or return of funds
