Meet Our 2018 US Master Educators

Amanda McFee

Science Instructional Coach
District 75 Citywide Programs, New York, NY

"When we are faced with barriers in the classroom, let us remember it is just a matter of adapting and making it accessible."

Rebecca McKeithen

Headstart Teacher
West Navarre Primary School, Navarre, FL

"My teaching philosophy is based on three things: students are children who require age-appropriate material, so give them understanding before judgement, and create a kind classroom culture that is loving and safe so they can thrive."

Javier Aguilar

Technology and Computer Science Teacher
East Fort Worth Montessori Academy
Fort Worth, TX

"I believe the biggest challenge facing students is real engagement. As an educator, this challenge forces me to always look for fun technology opportunities to spark their interests."

Joey Tanaka

EdTech and Robotics Specialist
Bertschi School, Seattle WA

"I often ask kids to 'Dare to fail', because failure is part of learning in order to engineer something better. Crafting a learning opportunity that enables students to experience a challenge and thrive, is part of what I love best in education."

Kareen Wilkinson

Science Teacher
Lila G Frederick Middle School, Boston, MA

"As a LEGO® Education Master Educator, I want to show teachers that you don't have to know a lot about robotics to get your students into it. Students learn faster than adults if given the chance to exercise playful learning."

What is the LEGO Education Master Educator Program?

The Master Educator Program is a network of early learning through secondary educators who use LEGO® Education solutions in their classroom to inspire future generations. They embody the mission of LEGO® Education to encourage hands-on learning to develop 21st century skills and want to share their expertise and experiences with others. Master Educators provide valuable feedback to advance hands-on learning, share best practices, participate in LEGO® Education events, receive insider news and more. Applications for educators around the world will open in the next few months and again for everyone in January 2019.
