The science unit below allows students to explore science concepts in a hands on, narrative-based approach. Aligned to Grade 1 NGSS standards, the unit is designed to be taught with your current science curriculum to extend students' learning.
Plants and Animals Unit In this 3-lesson unit, students use StoryTales and Animals to explore science concepts through storytelling. Students focus on ways that plants and animals are like their parents, including how their different parts function, as well as on how young animals communicate their needs.
