LEGO^® Education WeDo 2.0 compatibility

Scratch 2.0 and Scratch 3.0
Scratch 2.0 is a natural next step from the horizontal icon-based block coding of the LEGO Education WeDo 2.0 app to vertical text-based block coding. The free Scratch platform opens up the LEGO Education WeDo 2.0 experience to exciting integration possibilities and an online community that generates original and free content. LEGO Education WeDo 2.0 is compatible with Scratch 3.0, along with tutorials, when available later this year to offer even more experiences.

Tickle
Tickle's vertical text-based block coding allows users to control many devices, including LEGO Education WeDo 2.0, and can wirelessly connect all devices together so they can interact with each other. Tickle is an app for iPad^® and iPhone^®, inspired by Scratch.

Tynker
Tynker is a vertical text-based block coding platform that is a natural progression from the LEGO Education WeDo 2.0 app. Tynker offers self-paced online courses for children to learn coding at home, as well as an engaging programming curriculum for schools and camps.

Open Roberta Lab^®
The Open Roberta Lab offers visual programming for WeDo 2.0 (as well as LEGO MINDSTORMS Education EV3 and NXT). The cloud-based solution is completely open source, free and adheres to the strict data protection guidelines of the EU. The Open Roberta platform communicates with the brick via Wifi and USB cable and is available in 14 languages. The Open Roberta Lab also comes with an integrated 2D-Simulation which minimizes hurdles for teachers and schools and makes it easy to integrate coding into the classroom. It is based on the universal programming language NEPO^®® that can also be shown as Java, Python and C code. Open Roberta is developed by Fraunhofer IAIS as part of the largest organisation for applied research in Europe.
