This 90-hour course engages students in a progression of computer science skills from the CSTA standards for grades 6–8 while also challenging them to apply science, mathematics, and language arts skills. The students explore 16 career pathways connected to these skills, reflect on the skills they’ve developed during the course—and finally, create a plan for entering a career field.

In these two 30+ hour courses, designed around CSTA standards for grades 6–8, students learn and extend the fundamentals of the Python programming language and programming best practices. They apply their knowledge to guided and open-ended projects, which culminate in presenting solutions to real-world problems.
